fake film meme: (requested by ashley) → in the summertime - a (mostly) sunny literary dramedy starring robert redford, faye dunaway, dimitri leonidas, and jessica brown-findlay.
nearly reclusive author jack connolly (redford) has seen better days. the wild success of his first and only two novels has given way to a years-long period of creative drought, and his on-again off-again relationship with actress and force of nature diandra martin (dunaway) has headed south yet again. all that whiskey certainly isn’t helping things either.
when jack’s long-suffering agent sends his son anton (leonidas), a struggling london writer, out to california, it’s not only to help jack try piece his life back together, it’s also an attempted warning to show his son what his current path might lead to. jack’s granddaughter esther (brown-findlay) is an aspiring poet who secretly longs to reach out to her grandfather and help him repair his relationship with diandra. she finds an unlikely partner-in-crime in anton, who just might be falling for her too.
under the heat of the california sun, jack and anton begin to realize that neither of them will escape this long summer unchanged.
Hey guys, this site is under new management. The previous person was having trouble keeping this site a float. If you don’t like the way I do things, please let me know! But to be honest…there’s not much going on right now BUT The Academy Awards. I’d rather post something than nothing at all. If you got something then post it instead of posting complaints under anonymity.
